Σύμφωνα με δηλώσεις της στο περιοδικό Rhapsody United Airlines, σχεδιάζει να αποσυρθεί μετά τα γενέθλιά της στις 20 Φεβρουαρίου.

Έχω δουλέψει με όλους αυτούς τους απίστευτους φωτογράφους. Τι άλλο πρέπει να κάνω; Δεν μπορώ να επανεφεύρω τον εαυτό μου. Δεν πρέπει να αποδεικνύω πια τίποτα για μένα. Δεν θέλω να το κάνω!», αναφέρει.

Στο ερώτημα πως τα κατάφερε και αν υπάρχει συνταγή για την επιτυχία η Σίντι απάντησε:

«Δεν υπήρχε οδικός χάρτης για την καριέρα μου. Μπορεί η τύχη να έπαιξε κάποιο ρόλο αλλά το σημαντικό ήταν η θέληση να τολμήσω και να κάνω τα πράγματα διαφορετικά».

Με αφορμή τα 50 της και την αλλαγή σελίδας έχει επιμεληθεί και την έκδοση ενός βιβλίου το οποίο περιλαμβάνει όλη της τη ζωή μέσα από φωτογραφίες και εικόνες από τις δουλειές της. Η ίδια λέει πως το «Becoming – Cindy Crawford» είναι κάτι σαν αποχαιρετισμός στην καριέρα της ως μοντέλο.
